Lovely is right! I wanted to grow lilacs too, but then discovered that they don’t grow in my zone. 😦
My best friend planned her wedding date so that she could have lilacs for her wedding. It actutally worked out too (hard to predict when spring will arrive in Michigan!).
Wow. That’s devotion. So glad it worked for her!
They are sooooo lovely. I have some planted outside of our window and they smell so nice when we open it.
Love the smell!
While I try not to make a habit of it I am fessing up on this occasion ! I am totally and completely jealous of your lilacs ! OMGosh they are so gorgeous. I am not sure I’ve ever seen lilacs so close up as in your photos. I am not sure what I’d do if I could grow them. I might be too excited to stand myself ! As far as I know it is not possible in South Florida. Yeah, I will just remain green with envy and look at your photos!
Love,
jen
I’m jealous, too. Someday I will have a lilac bush of my very own. 🙂
